We are delighted to bring you the last in our troika of pictures by Noemie Goudal from her series "Escapades".
Noemie is a rising talent who is attracting much deserved attention. Recently she has been selected for a solo show at Salon Gallery; chosen to exhibit at the Hooper's Gallery Summer Show - the best of the Royal College Degree Shows and has future solo shows at the Hotshoe Gallery, London; the LBC Gallery in Dublin and in December at the Uno+Uno Gallery in Milan.
Noemie's work centres upon the construction of fictions within the landscape, that oscillate between the real and artificial. By building sets or creating stages in outside environments in which her protagonist can enact their dreams, Noemie seeks to offer alternative spaces where the construction of new fantasy lands is made possible.
As she said in her recent interview in the BJP "I wanted to mix the two worlds to see how they interact, I wanted to see how much you can enter either the make believe or the real."
We Recommend: The Observer's Monthly Photographic show
The Observer and Guardian newspapers have re-launched their picture gallery with an improved slide show. The new system allows for embedding of captions and links, making this a whole new interactive process.
At the Observer, picture editor Jim Powell has put together a review of the month's offerings of photography around the world. You can use the pause button to linger over the images you like or click the links to go to extended reviews or direct to the gallery sites. MORE>>
