NB: This is a Lambda print on C-type photographic paper. All our prints come with a certificate signed by the artist and a unique edition number. The prints are produced with a white border around the photograph to allow for framing. We also have included some cotton gloves to protect the print during handling.

Driving to a client meeting early one morning in January 2007, Martin Boettcher was captivated by the sight of low lying fog hanging between some office towers in Frankfurt.

The sun was beginning to rise and as it did so it hit the glass facade of the buildings and reflecting off the surface it gave the illusion that sunlight was bursting out from within the buildings themselves.

It is this combination of light and shadow and how it interacts with architecture that informs Martin's work as a photographer. He will often observe how a specific building changes through the day by using his camera to document and record the shift in the relationship of light to its various architectural surfaces.
