Exploring the boundaries of what is real and imagined Gregor describes his work as "in-between"; a visual expression of the space where the real world intersects with the realm of memories and dreams. Gregor seeks to challenge the observer into an engagement with his concerns with the perception of reality and its construction within photography.

To get at this tension between the real and the conjured Gregor stresses a traditional analogue process to capture his image. By deliberately overexposing film shot in sunlight he pushes the film to its limits of recording capabilities to a point where conventional methods of printing would fail to render the information captured on the negative. By employing digital scanning technology which can interpret apparently missing information it becomes possible for Gregor to reconstruct the image in a new interpretative form.

The result is almost painterly; showing a city bleached out in the midday sun, where architecture and people are viewed through a haze of photographic grain and the scratchy layers of the scanned image. A flawed and foggy photograph perhaps, but a new visual experience of the urban landscape.
