A set of six books, "Par Hazard" is a documentation of Ingrid Newton's journeys based on the London A-Z. Each journal records a single day in which Ingrid decided where to go and what to photograph on the throw of the dice and guided by a set of rules.

Book four, subtitled "Direction Rules" uses page 35 of the A-Z, Chingford and Highams Park as its reference point, selected by the throw of the dice. Starting at the bottom of the page, Ingrid gave herself rules to navigate her way through her journey: taking the second right, followed by another second right and then first left to progress her way across the page.

This zig zag method of wandering through the streets was an attempt to break habitual methods of navigating the urban landscape. Sometimes called an "algorithm walk" it is characterised by a set of repeated instructions with the aim of breaking a purpose based motives for traversing the map and removing the idea of only travelling to a pre-determined destination.
