A set of six books, "Par Hazard" is a documentation of Ingrid Newton's journeys based on the London A-Z. Each journal records a single day in which Ingrid decided where to go and what to photograph on the throw of the dice and guided by a set of rules.

Londoners are amongst the most monitored citizens in the world, with their daily journeys captured on the thousands of CCTV cameras dotted around the capital. In this time of such surveillance and electronic devices recording our daily moves, the idea of getting lost is very seductive.

It was this romantic thought of ignoring road signs, discarding maps and relying on chance and happenstance that inspired Ingrid's six journeys. For her first foray onto the London streets she travelled to the end of a randomly picked train line, the Docklands Light Railway in this case, and set off on her exploration.
