Carolyn Lefley

Photographer Carolyn Lefley grew up in the suburbs of North London. After studying Fine Art at Coventry University she returned to London to complete her MA in Photography at Thames Valley University where she achieved a Distinction. In her early work "Semi-detached" Carolyn explores the familiar architecture of the suburban house with its bay windows and tidy front gardens; symbols of a certain class and affluence. read on »

Nina Mangalanayagam

Nina Mangalanayagam was born and grew up in Sweden with a Danish mother and a Sri Lankan father. Using her personal experience and family as her starting point Nina's work explores the fluid nature of identity and in particular how our attachment to a sense of place contributes to an understanding of who we are. read on »

Gregor Stephan

Photography is often understood as a truthful record; the verification of what has happened and what is real. Trained in the school of documentary photography, Gregor Stephan understands well the association photography has with depicting the real world but in his work he seeks to move beyond a literal representation, wanting instead to hint at a landscape that we can recognise while simultaneously making images that are clearly interpretations of what he sees through the lens. read on »
