Richard Rowland studied photography at the University of Brighton, receiving a 1st in BA Editorial photography in 2005.

His series "Urban Fictions" was supported by the Arts Council England and has received widespread interest; being exhibited at Light House Media Centre, Wolverhampton and at Gallery West, London in 2010. It will also be shown at both the FORMAT International Photography Festival and at the Casla Architecture Centre, Almere, The Netherlands in the Spring of 2011.

He has also participated in group exhibitions across Europe including 'This Crazy World', Kosovo National Art Gallery, Pristina and Exposicio de Fotographies, Escola Massana, Barcelona.

Richard's book, The Regency Project, was published by Another Publication in 2007, and he is currently working on a book with FAR Architecture Center Shanghai.
