Maggy Milner has always been passionate about the photographic process and in her work "Consuming Passions" she explores the confusing relationship between photographic truth and the artifice of the constructed image in a playful and comic fashion.

Since graduating from Derby University in 1990, Maggy received the East Midlands Bursary for photography in 1991 and exhibited her series "Echoes" in the Face of Europe show at the Derby Festival in 1992. She has had solo shows at the Picture House, Leicester; The Harley Gallery, Welbeck; The Special Photographer's Gallery, London and the Coningsby Gallery, London. In 1996 Virgin Airways sponsored "Consuming Passions" at the Lan Kwai Fong Gallery, Hong Kong. Her work is held in the collection of the Art in Hospital Trust, Addenbrook Hospital. Her latest series "Blue" has been shown at Pickford's House, Derby Museum and Art Gallery in 2008 and the EMA Contemporary Arts Open Exhibition, 2007.
