Portrait of the artist Lawrence Weiner.

Which famous artists, living or dead, would you invite to a dinner party?

Serge Gainsbourg, Diane Arbus, William Bouguereau, Sophie Calle, Ed Ruscha, Andy Warhol and Gus Van Sant.

When are you at your happiest?

A dinner party with my friends with champagne and 80's music and trekking in the Himalayas.

What is your most treasured possession?

A postal staff portrait found in the 'Alte Postfuhramt' in Berlin.

What book are you reading at the moment?

Experience by Martin Amis

What made you laugh recently?

A telephone conversation between me and my parents, taped by my father when I was on a French exchange, 13 years old, depressed in Southampton. He kept the tape secret for all these years.

What really winds you up?

Bad conscience.

What do you do when not working?

Depending on my mood; hibernating or socializing.

Where do you get your inspiration?

Travelling, studio portraiture from around the world and vernacular and found photography.

How would you like to be remembered?

As a loving artist, wife, mother and friend.

What music would you like played at your funeral?
