The magazine's quarterly issues attract over 140,000 unique visitors from more than 75 countries every month. 1000 Words was founded by its editor-in-chief and director Tim Clark. Tim has a background in Photography and Visual Culture from Falmouth College of Arts and the University of Brighton and has previously worked as the photography critic at The Barcelona Metropolitan. His writing has appeared in The Sunday Times, The Daily Telegraph, The British Journal of Photography, a-n Magazine, Next Level, Foto8, Hotshoe, Eyemazing and Fotograf as well as a number of exhibition catalogues.
Tim has been a juror on a number of awards and competitions including Viewbook Photostory, On The Road Photofestival and the Salon Photography Prize. He has been invited to review at FORMAT Photography Festival, Les Rencontres d'Arles and FotoFest Houston.
